About:
La Esperanza is grown in the mountains of Chinchiná, Caldas, on the family-run Alto de la Paz estate. First established in the 1960s by Gustavo Hoyos, the farm has been shaped by three generations dedicated to cultivating high-quality coffee with care and intention. Set among fertile volcanic soils and nourished by the Campo Alegre river, the landscape provides ideal conditions for slow cherry development and expressive flavour. Today, Felipe and Miguel Hoyos continue this legacy, working alongside a long-standing team to produce coffees that reflect both tradition and innovation. This is 1 of 3 coffees I have from La Esperanza, all same variety and farm, but different processing methods.
